Anticafé (also known as time café, time club) is a public institution of social orientation, a meeting place away from home, decorated in a café or club format, "leased" by visitors for a while.

This place is primarily for communication rather than for food, where, however, one can also drink hot tea or coffee or even bring them along from outside (no alcoholic drinks and/or smoking allowed).

This phenomenon has gained popularity in the early 2010s especially in Russia and CIS countries.

Soft drinks and desserts, games with friends and strangers, coworking and movies are offered.
All services are provided free of charge and only minutes spent inside are payable.
Almost all institutions of this format may offer food as well.
