Hotel Chelsea Pines Inn

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / West 14th Street, 317

5-story hotel completed in the 1850s as a 4-story-and-basement townhouse. It is three bays wide, and clad in dark red brick with a street-level entrance to the English basement, replacing the original stoop. The entry has a slightly-recessed white wood-and-glass door set in a tiled surround that curves inward, and is topped by a small green canvas canopy.

The windows have brick sills and segmental-arched brick lintels, with green-painted exterior shutters on the upper floors. The building is crowned by a dark-green metal roof cornice with paired brackets and foliate frieze. It was converted to a hotel in 1985.
