This typical Art Deco building was opened in 1926 as The Bath Assembly Hall. It was designed by Birmingham architect Horace Bradley for a Birmingham based entrepreteur Elsie Dowding. Its interior was the setting for balls and dances. It was later named The Palais de Danse. Renamed again in 1952 as
The Embassy Ballroom, it continued to hold dances and local events until it became a bingo hall.
Today The Assembly is stunning, multi-function venue, opened its doors in the summer 2008, with the capacity of 1000 (or 400 seated) main hall.
This venue offers eclectic programme of events throughout the year.
