A derelict power station, due for restoration shortly - has become a much loved landmark for Londoners.

The iconic white towers will be controversially demolished and rebuilt as they are no longer deemed safe.
It is also know as the Table by some londoners.

  • This place should stay as it is! Everyone says that is industrially ugly, but that is what makes it so beautiful! It is iconic! Everytime I go past it on the train it still makes me crane my neck to look at it! It deserves to stay! Save the white towers, save the building, save the power station!!! It is an industrial London as a whole! Surviving WW2 and still being there and pretty! Long live Battersea Power Station!!!
  • Battersea Power Station has no remaining practical use, however its fame, iconography and heritage surely give it an important and educational role in London.
  • (They could just repair it.)
  • The place gives me the creeps. It is one of the scariest buildings on the planet
  • Famous for being on the album cover of Pink Floyd's album "Animals" and for being featured in films such as 1984 and Children of Men.
  • they should rebuild this place as a museum

  • I worked in Battersea Power Station as a demolition worker in the late eighties. I dont think i will ever see another building like it.A masterpiece. I was so priveledged just to be there. As for the chimneys repair if unsafe otherwise do not disturb.Dont fix if not broken as they say.It will always have a place in my heart. P from Donegal
