2-story house originally completed in 1833 as a stable for Thomas Suffern, who lived across the Mews at 11 Washington Square. It was converted to a garage in 1909 by his grandson, Thomas Suffern Tailer. It was extensively remodeled in 191(?) when it was converted into a dwelling, with Neo-Georgian styling.
