174-foot, 12-story Beaux-Arts office building completed in 1909. Designed by Cleverdon & Putzel as a store-and-lofts building, it has a 3-story limestone base featuring rusticated piers with stylized caps, bracketed cast-iron pilasters at the 2nd and 3rd floors, bracketed moldings, paneled spandrels, and historic limestone surrounds at the twin entryways at the ends. The surrounds at the entrances are decorated with paneled pilasters, scrolled brackets, projecting hoods and surmounting finials. There is a patterned granite bulkhead above the central storefronts. From the 2nd floor up, each of the stories has four bays of four windows. There is a simple cornice above the 2nd floor, and a modillioned cornice above the 3rd, with large cartouches and festoons at the piers.

The upper stories are clad in buff-colored brick, and have denticulated and bracketed moldings, festoons and cartouches at the 10th floor, and giant brackets at the top floor. On top is an elaborate green copper roof cornice with large modillions and a decorated frieze. The east and west elevations are clad in reddish-brown brick, each with one bay of windows towards the front.

The Stella Adler School of Acting, famous for nurturing Brando, De Niro, Harvey Keitel etc., is now at this address. The ground floor is occupied by Equinox gym.
