Gratitude monument, built in 2013 is located at the park area next to the Archaeological museum.
It is a symbol of Varna Jewish society gratitude to the people of Bulgaria saving Bulgarian Jews during World War II. During that time around 1,300 people were saved.
The monument was created by sculptor Lyudmil Blazhev. It represents a shofar - an ancient Jewish liturgical instrument.
