Siddipet or siddipeta is a city and a municipality in Medak district, Andhra Pradesh, India, with a population of 145,316. It is the biggest town in the Medak district and is 104 kilometres (65 mi) away from Hyderabad and 86 kilometres (53 mi) away from Secunderabad.
It has an average elevation of 675 metres (2,215 ft). The Komati Cheruvu and the Yerra Cheruvu are tributaries of the Manjira river, which is a tributary of Godavari. These rivers run through Siddipet.
Education: The Government Degree College is the second biggest college in Telengana which is established in 1956 after formation of A.P.We have PG centre for this college and corses offered MSc(Physics),MSc(Chemistry),MBA and MCA.We have Govt. Degree College for Women also. There are 3 engineering colleges in Siddipet: Indur Institute of Engineering and Technology, SSR Engineering College and Medak College of Engineering. There are two B.Ed. colleges, Andhra Pradesh College of Education in Duddeda, and Princeton College of Education in Ponnala.There are two Pharmacy colleges near Duddeda Village.there are 14 intermediate colleges in siddipet.

There are more than 50 temples in Siddipet and approximately 25 temples surrounding the town. Sri Bhogeshwara Swamy is a very old temple located in the old town. The Lord Shiva temple, known as Kotilingala Gudi, was constructed by Sadguru Sree Madanananda Saraswatee Swamiji, and is located near the Medak X Road. Sri Seetha Ramaswamy Temple is another old temple. Other temples include Sri Venkateshwara Swamy, Kotilingala Swamy, Gadi Maisamma, Borra Hanuman, Sri Sharabeshwaralayam, X Road X Hanuman, Naga Devatha, Sri Sathya Narayana Swamy, Ragichettu Hanuman, Sri Neelakanteshwara Swamy, Shri Shiridi Sai Baba, Gita Bavan, Panchamukhi Hanuman, Ayyappa Swamy, Yellamma, Markandeya Swamy, Jai Santhoshi Mata, Bangaluru Maisamma,shanker nagar shiva temple, ganesh nagar hanuman temple, hanuman nagar hunuman temple and Shri Sathya Sai Baba Prashanthi Nilayam, bramamgari temple kanchari bazar, dikonda maisama near kort and pancha mukhi hanuman temple shivaji nagar.

Jama Masjid is a very old mosque located near Lal Kaman. Makkah Masjid is located at Charwadan Street and Sufia Masjid is located at Khaderpura. Other mosques include Masjid e Noor, Masjid e Mohammadia, Masjid e Zohra, Masjid e Elahi, Masjid e Naseeria, Masjid e Musallam, Masjid e Ghaffaria, Masjid e Raza (Nasarpura) Masjid e Mehboob Unnisa, Masjid e Touheed at Bara-imam, Masjid e Firdauz, Masjid e Rabia Basri and Masjid e Sheikhan.

Siddipet is also known for its historical monuments like Lal kaman and Burj. Lal kaman is built with red stone and is located on Gandhi road. Recently it has undergone renovation and restored it to its original condition.

There are many Churches with various denominations and works for the betterment of the society. A Church of South India that was constructed 130 years ago is located in the heart of the town. A baptist Church (Calvary Grace Baptist Church) established nearly 25 years ago. Several new churches are being born every year and Siddipet could be called a religious tic city very soon.
Entertainment and food:
Siddipet has three 70mm, and one video theater, which shows recent Telugu and Hindi movies.
Siddipet is famous for dhabas. Most of the dhabas are located in city outskirts.
