5-story Neo-Grec office building completed in 1880. Designed by John B. Snook, the building is faced in brick, once painted, above the ground floor and has three bays of window openings per floor. Chamfered pilasters which flank the window openings have corbelled capitals and bases. Inscribed detailing, a characteristic of the neo-Grec style, is found above the 5th-floor windows. The multipane windows are replacements.

The Cortlandt Alley elevation of the building is faced in painted brick. The three bays of window openings at each floor retain multipane windows and some iron shutters. A fire escape fronts the two northern bays of the elevation which is capped by a corbelled brick cornice. Cast-iron framing members, including paneled piers, remain at the 2-story base.

In the 1920s this building was occupied as a store, factory, and showroom. It housed other manufacturing businesses in the mid-1900s.
