Green Terminal Building

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / Hudson Street, 182-200
office building, Art Deco (architecture), 1927_construction

147-foot, 12-story Art-Deco office building completed in 1927. Designed by Renwick, Aspinwall & Guard, it has brown brick piers above a 2-story limestone base, with stone spandrels between the floors, separating large, multi-paned industrial windows with grey-green framing. Each pier extends up above the roof line of the building. Turner Construction Co. was the builder.

The main entrance at the center of the Hudson Street facade, is recessed and framed by grey polished granite. Near the roof is some fiberglass Art-Deco style ornamentation on the piers. Two large water tanks are visible on the roof. Four loading bays are located on the ground floor at the Vestry Street side. The rest of the ground floor is occupied by the lobby and David Yurman jewelry customer service office.

The building was renovated in 1982. Since 2012, it has been mostly occupied by Havas Advertising.
