The Kirtland Temple is a registered National Historic Landmark in Kirtland, Ohio, USA, on the eastern edge of the Cleveland metropolitan area. Owned and operated by the Community of Christ, the house of worship was the first temple to be built by the Latter Day Saint movement.

Original church built by the Mormons when they settled in this area in the 1830s. The temple was completed in 1836 with much of the sand and stone coming from the gravel pits off Hobart Road. In 1838, after the Mormons moved westward, the Temple was used by the Western Reserve Teacher's Seminary. In 1880, the Reorganized church of the Latter Day Saints reclaimed the temple as a place of worship.
