This opened as a Safeway and had other names in its time (including Alpha Beta) and later became an AppleTree Supermarket, with the signage of a defunct Texas supermarket (nearly all of which closed in the early 1990s, leading to lots of surplus signage, though ironically, all the AppleTree stores in Texas were former Safeway stores themselves). By the time AppleTree closed permanently in December 2012, the last of the "original" AppleTree stores in Texas were long gone as well. In summer 2013, the parking lot reopened as a paid parking lot and by 2014, became a CVS, which still maintains that classic Safeway Marina facade.
