9-story early-modern dormitory completed in 1928 as an apartment building. Designed by Henry G. Willard, it is clad in dark-red brick. It was later used as a staff residence for Roosevelt Hospital, and then as an office building. It was renovated in 1999 with a new ground floor and vertical glass stripe replacing one of the original window bays, when it was converted to a dormitory for Bard Graduate Center.
The ground floor has five main bays, separated by angled, projecting, grey metal piers. The entrance, in the east bay, is framed by light-grey stone and has a glass door and sidelight, and has a metal canopy. The other bays have windows organized into horizontal panes by thin, horizontal, grey metal framing and one vertical framing element near the west end of the each bay. There is an extra, narrow bay at the east end. All of the ground-floor bays are topped by a grey metal band course surmounted by a brick band course.
The upper floors have end bays with paired windows, next to bays of smaller single-windows. The center bay has double-windows, and was originally flanked by two bays of paired windows, but the eastern one has been replaced by the vertical column of glass with grey metal framing. The framing separates the spandrels from the windows above and below, bisects the spandrels, and also divides the east edge of each window into three small, square panes. The curtain wall of the glass bay ends below the brick roof parapet. The building has 70 dorm units.
