 restaurant, bar, commercial building

2-story commercial building completed in 1900 as a stable. Designed by Thomas Walker, it has a residence above the ground-floor stalls. The building was converted to other commercial purposed in the 1920s, and in 1976 it was purchased by the New York Jazz Museum, which only lasted a year at this location. Beginning in the late 1980s, it was home to New David Cinema, a gay theater that was ordered closed by the city in 1995. Homefront bed-and-breakfast opened here in 1997. More recently it housed the Divine Bar, and is currently occupied by The Three Monkeys sports bar, which opened in 2011.

Beige-painted limestone frames the large openings at the ground and 2nd floors. There are four glass-and-metal doors, flanked by two windows, at the ground floor, which is covered by a metal marquee. The 2nd floor has four large window panes, and is capped by a band of modillions. Above the roof line is a 3-story, 2-sided, angled billboard.
