Liberty Park is an elevated park located above the World Trade Center's Vehicular Security Center (VSC). The VSC was completed in 2013, and the park opened in 2016. The park overlooks the National September 11 Memorial & Museum and was built atop land previously occupied by the Greek Orthodox St. Nicholas Church. The church was destroyed in the September 11, 2001 attacks and is being rebuilt on the eastern edge of the park. Liberty Park is connected to the World Financial Center to the west via an existing elevated pedestrian bridge.
The VSC is a secure complex for underground parking and truck delivery for the World Trade Center complex.
