WAFF (TV) from Huntsville's weather radar site. On April 27th, 2011 this site took a direct hit from a tornado, which destroyed the radar set but not the tower. In the moments before the Radar was destroyed a video camera mounted to this tower was able to take video of the large EF-5 tornado as it approached until the tower camera lost power as the tornado destroyed the electrical grid.

Later in 2011 they replaced it with a new radar unit.
