4-story commercial building originally completed in 1870, but renovated with a new facade in 1918, when it became the entrance and lobby to the Central Theatre, where the W Hotel now stands. The theater underwent a number of ownership and name changes, converting to a movie theater in 1956, until closing in 1988. The building at 1565 Broadway was then converted to other uses, first as the Roxi Deli on the ground floor. Today the facade is mostly removed, with a metal framework holding a tall billboard over the upper floors. The ground floor has a storefront with paneled piers, topped by an angled, 2-sided marquee at the 2nd floor. Another, smaller billboard is mounted on the roof. The building is occupied by Swarovski New York.
