Built in 1951 by Z.M. Garner, this is one of the longest running businesses in Poteau. After working on the Atomic Bomb project, Z.M. Garner moved to Wister in 1948 to start the business. After moving to Poteau in '51, he built this current building, where the Garner Electric company has remained ever since.
