A Copper project in Afghanistan owned by MCC. The mine was first discovered in the early 1970s and exploration continued on the site until 1974 with the Soviets withdrew from the country (the site was later used as an Al-Qaeda training camp). The mining license was awarded to MCC in 2007 and promises to be the largest foreign investment ever in Afghanistan.
