Hampton Inn Central Times Square

USA / New Jersey / West New York / West 41st Street, 220

332-foot, 30-story postmodern hotel completed in 2015. Designed by Helpern Architects, it is six bays wide, with the facade set back above the ground floor and clad in tan brick with white metal framing and green-tinted glass. The ground floor is clad in light-grey cast-stone, with large grid windows at the ends, and a recessed entrance with glass infill in the middle; two squared columns support a metal canopy that curves slightly upward.

At the upper floors, between the brick piers, the two end bays and two middle bays have three unequal windows; the other two bays have double-windows. Rounded protrusions of glass and metal with narrower windows curve out from the facade at the 6th, 11th, 16th, and 21st floors, and the end bays set back above the 25th floor. Above the main roof line, there is an observation deck and brick-clad mechanical housings. The east elevation is a plain wall of tan brick. The hotel contains 300 guest rooms.
