Also known as the Meridian Corridor due to it's alignment along Meridian Avenue, The Hospitality District is located just north of Will Rogers World Airport and is the largest concentration of hotels and motels in the city. As the name and location suggests, the district is typically a first impression to visitors of the city arriving at the airport. In addition to the various hotels and motels, the district is also home to a variety of restraunts, retail, and entertainment venues such as adult nightclubs, bars, and the family friendly Celebration Station. The district is close to White Water Bay (Oklahoma City's water theme park) and other popular retail locations such as the Outlet Shopps Of Oklahoma City (a large outlet mall just to the northwest) and the Westgate Marketplace. It is also relatively close to other districts popular with tourists and locals alike such as Stockyards City and the various districts that make up the Downtown area. The Oklahoma Spirit Trolley (a public transportation system funded by the Metropolitan Area Projects sales tax and sponsored by Platt College) provide transportation to and from the Downtown area. The Meridaian Landing of the Oklahoma River Cruises is in the eastern section of the district, providing a means of transportation to the Boathouse District just south of Bricktown,

The City of Oklahoma City is convinced that the district is an important asset to visitor's perceptions, and has taken steps to create a Buisness Improvement District along Meridian Avenue.
