Built in 1762 during British control of Fort Niagara, the Provisions Storehouse was originally a two-storey structure capable of holding 7,000 barrels of food and provisions for the fort's garrison. Reduced in height to one storey after the War of 1812, the building also saw use as a barracks and a stable.
