The Farmhouse at Highland Park was built around 1819 for Mary Berkstresser Negley, widow of Alexander Negley, on the family's farm. Through the years the building has been used as a park office, picnic shelter, public comfort station, and even a clubhouse for a 9-hole golf course. The Farmhouse caught fire in 2000 and has since been renovated.
