This was the New York, Westchester & Boston Railway's White Plains branch. it was double-tracked and electrified with 11kV 25Hz overhead catenary, a system identical to that of its parent company, the 'New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad.'

The NYNH&H (or 'New Haven', for short) failed for bankruptcy in 1935, and so did the NYW&B. Consequently, the entire New York, Westchester & Boston system, including the White Plains branch, was abandoned by 1937. The rails, catenary wires and supports were later scrapped for the war effort during World War II.

Some segments of the right-of-way are still visible to this day.
