The first resort here was built in 1890. A new owner expanded the resort in 1904 by adding a small hotel, bathhouses, and guest cottages. In 1930, most of these were replaced by Spanish style buildings. A lounge, swimming pool, and dining room. A schoolhouse was located here from 1900 until 1943. All the buildings were burned down in a fire leaving behind only foundations and the swimming pool.

I visited the site in the 1970's and the hotel and bungalows were still standing and the hot springs were bubbling up steaming water. From the looks of the sat image it looks like only foundations are remaining. I wonder if the hot springs are still bubbling up steaming water? To access this site go to San Jacinto, California and take Gilman Springs Rd west of Sanderson Ave. There used to be a sign on Gilman Springs Rd "Canadian Hot Springs." If you see it take that dirt road north into the property. This site is in the BAD LANDS and it is Best to go in a group with dirt bikes because the trails are treacherous because of unstable soil and risk of falling into steep revines.
