Skookumchuck is home to the Skookumchuck Hot Springs, also known as St. Agnes Well Hot Springs. The hot springs are set in beautiful natural surroundings next to the Harrison River, southeast of Pemberton and Lillooet Lake. Around the springs is a large ghost town, a former Indian mission-town, with a highly notable Carpenter Gothic church, the Church of the Holy Cross.

There is a private campground, shelters, and soaking tubs available to the public. A modest user fee is charged. The undeveloped hot springs are situated on private property, but permission to enjoy the springs is generously granted by the Tretheway family. The vicinity is also known as Skatin, which is the name preferred by the Skatin First Nation of the In-SHUCK-ch tribal council, but non-natives continue to refer to the locality as Skokokumchuck Hot Springs. The name St. Agnes Well was conferred by colonial Chief Justice Matthew Baillie Begbie on a trip through the area, in honour of one of the daughters of Governor James Douglas; Harrison Hot Springs, at the south end of Harrison Lake, was similarly named St. Alice's Well after another the Govenor's daughters.
