Gyuro Mihaylov Monument (Plovdiv)

In the southwestern part of the square, next to the Military Club, it is possible to see the monument to Gyuro Mihaylov and his comrades, built to commemorate the heroic death in fires of soldiers from the militia of Eastern Rumelia. The original sculpture composition is the work of Professor Nikola Kozhouharov in 1938.
