Little town on the route from Euphrates River to Homs, a Roman - Byzantine-era archaeological site: the ancient Seriana was located at the crossing of the roads Resafa-Salamiya/Emesa and Chalkis - Palmyra. From the historical settlement, only one little roman temple from 1st half of the 3rd century remained quite intact, its dedication is unknown. The outer walls of the calste can still be detected.
