Residece designed c. 1913 by Fred H. Briggs for Edward Roesler, Jr., a banking executive at Laidlaw & Company, and member of the New York Stock Exchange, his father was a partner at Laidlaw, and had his estate, "Augustina", at Kings Point. Roesler married the daughter of John C. Baker, Sr. who resided in Great Neck. Roesler was also a member of the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club.
