The oldest Urdu mosque in Palghat. The land for the mosque and kabristan, and also the surrounding area where Urdu speaking Pathani Muslims have settled, was donated by the Raja of Palakkad Sekhari Varma Valia Raja. These Pathani Muslims having family names like Beig,Khan,Sheikh & Syed had also served in prominent positions in the army of the Palakkad Raja. It also happens to be the only Urdu mosque in Kerala. It provides food for Iftar during Ramadhan. It is the mosque with most number of visitors. It has hundreds of years of Pathani tradition.
