Historic pathway that has been a part of the Texas A&M campus for over a century. It began as a dirt road in the 1880s, was paved in the early 1900s for vehicles, and transformed into a series of walkways in the 1970s. In 2009 the walkway was restored to its former glory, thanks to a $4 million donation from former student Dan A. Hughes, a former member of the Corps of Cadets. The walkway was an important North-South connector in the early days of A&M, and cadets would march along it three times a day for meals at Sbisa. It connects Rudder Complex to Sbisa Dining Hall, with the section between Ross Street and Sbisa being finished more recently, as part of the new Sbisa plaza.
