On the 29th October 2007, the broken body of 2 year old Riley Ann Sawyers (Baby Grace) was discovered here after being unceremoniously thrown from the Galveston Causeway.
A memorial in the form of a little cross has been placed here.
It and the adjoining island have now been officially named in her honour.
