The Government of Maharashtra under its BOOST (Build-Own-Operate-Share-Transfer) policy identified various locations for the creation of maritime facilities along its 700 km coastline. Chowgule Group through its SPV Jaigad Ports Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. has proposed the development of Angré Port at Jaigad, a modern cargo handling facility for bulk as well as containerized cargo. The project aims at providing an efficient gateway to the growing EXIM trade of the Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh regions.
