Naval Radio Section (NRS) Newport Corner is the transmitting facility for the Royal Canadian Navy's eastern coast, operated by Maritime Forces Atlantic (MARLANT) HMCS Trinity, located at CFB Halifax.
The transmit facility is capable of operating on HF (high frequency) for communicating with RCN ships and RCAF aircraft on maritime/SAR missions, as well as the LF (low frequency) band for communicating with deployed subs. SSB voice and digital modes are available.
The receiving site is located at NRS Mill Cove, near Hubbards NS.
