Nelson & Sons for an estimated $40,000, this Classical Queen Ann Style structure embodies both the architectural trend and economic optimism of its day. rnrnThe building was designed by respected Chicago architect Frank V. Newell of 78 LaSalle Street for carpenter George W. Stewart of 108 Dearborn Street. Although it is not officially designated as a historical landmark, the Fleur-De-Lis is listed in the Chicago Landmarks Historic Survey as a building with significant historical value because of its unique Queen Ann facade.
