Originally a Swedish area, and still home to the Swedish-American Museum, now Chicago's second gay neighborhood, after Boystown. Once called Girlstown, due to the original lesbian influence, gay men have moved in and it is a thriving urban mix of gay, lesbian, straight families, and immigrants.
