Designed by Soloman, Cordwell, Buenz and built in 1973 on the southern edge of the Edgewater Beach Hotel grounds. This 56 floor tower has 744 units on 55 floors and was converted to condominiums in 1979.

Prior to the extension of Lake Shore Drive northward from its former terminus at Foster Avenue, the Edgewater Beach Hotel complex was commonly visited by presidents, movie stars and dignitaries such as Mohandas Gandhi.
