USCGC Biscayne Bay is a 140ft Bay Class Icebreaking Tug in service with the US Coast Guards 9th District, Sector Sault Ste. Marie. Her primary responsibility is to maintain the vital shipping channels through the Straits of Mackinac open through the winter to allow safe passage to commercial vessels, but she also performs the typical USCG duties of Maritime Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue.
