Until recently, this pedestrian bridge was the only way across the Coquitlam River north of the Lougheed Highway bridge near Shaughnessy Avenue. It's notorious for being creepy, with its approaches at either end being surrounded by forest and only half-illuminated by lights that go out without warning. There have been at least two publicized deaths along this stretch of the river, too.
It's really great to stand on this bridge on the coldest winter nights, looking down at the water far below. You can almost see words in the little rapids.
