Ditched borders, long and narrow plot of land. This piece of land has probably been farmed since the 1760s - 1770s and was originally awarded by the King of France.

Cleared and planted around the 1780s and 1790s, these geographical features can be found throughout this area as well as along the St. Lawrence River/Seaway in Quebec.
These farms are losing to housing developments. These East Windsor farms are good clear relics of the farms that ran along the entire river and lakefront, as far inland as County Road 42.
