These "Panoramic Fields" are part of the Delta Junction Bison Range. They are so named because of their proximity to Panoramic Peak, just to the south in the Granite Mountains. The fields were cleared to provide alternate forage for wild free-ranging bison to use instead of farm fields north of the Alaska Highway.
