Delta Bison Range Gerstle Fields

Cleared by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game in the late 1980's to provide alternate forage for free ranging bison that inhabit the area. The fields provide some bison habitat as part of the 90,000 acre Delta Bison Range on which they are sited. They are called Gerstle Fields because of their proximity to the Gerstle River.
