Great Aten Temple

The larger of the two city's Aten temples was defined by a brick enclosure wall enclosing an area 800 x 300 metres. Much of the interior was left as flat open ground. It did contain, however, two stone buildings, one (the Long Temple) close to the front, the other (the Sanctuary) towards the rear.
