Ruins of the ancient city of Tenis (or Akoris) with remains of temples and many graves; from roman times quite well preserved is a temple partly cut into the cliff with a sactuary, in which you still can see mummies of big crocodiles. Graves to be found in the flancs of the valley and a huge relief in the rocks showing King Ramsis II.
