Genoelselderen wine castle (Genoelselderen)

Belgium / Limburg / Riemst / Genoelselderen / Kasteelstraat
castle, mansion / manor house / villa, listed building / architectural heritage, 18th century construction

The castle was first mentioned in 1407. The present building dates from the 18th century, but what we see currently is mainly the result of the extensive restoration of the then dilapidated building in 1859.

The imposing U-shaped building is located in a landscaped park with a pond. North of the castle is a 18th-century castle-farm.
In 1995 the castle became protected architectural heritage.
