226-foot, 20-story modernist hotel completed in 2007 as the Comfort Inn Times Square South. Designed by Peter Poon, it is faced in beige pre-cast concrete, set far back from the lot line. There is a single, central doorway in the ground floor, with a metal and masonry framework and rounded glass canopy extending out to the sidewalk. The slender tower has two bays of narrow split-windows in aluminum frames, with metal air-conditioning vents at the bases. Horizontal scoring lines run across each floor, doubled at the base of each window. Above the 17th floor, the front facade angles sharply back, sloping up to main roof line. There is a square mechanical equipment housing and round water tower on the roof. The east elevation is also faced in plain pre-cast panels, with horizontal scroll lines at each floor, and slightly-darker colored bands every four floors. The rear, north-facing facade basically matches the front. The hotel was rebranded to Lord & Moris Times Square Hotel in 2019.
