 skyscraper, condominiums

471-foot, 42-story postmodern residential building completed in 2006 for Continental Residential Holdings/Douglaston Development. Designed by Stephen B. Jacobs Group, it has grey and baby-blue colored facades, with curtain walls of glass and metal. The 2-story base is faced in white stone with low, black granite bases on the piers. Facing 5th Avenue are two wide bays at the north end, one with a glass-and-metal main entrance under a curved frosted glass and metal canopy, and three smaller bays with storefronts at the south end. At the 2nd floor, the wide bay above the entrance is broken into two smaller bays, and the three southern ones are combined into a single wide bay, all with narrow silver metal framing between the windows. At the bay above the entrance, the two piers framing it extend up another level and are joined by a horizontal member at the top.

The tower is set back above the base, with the section above the main entrance the furthest forward. At this section's sound end is a column of projecting concrete balconies with glass railings, tucked against the setback. The end sections of the west facade are set further back, with wider balconies - starting at the 6th floor on the south end and at the 12th floor on the north end.

On the east facade, the 2-story base is also expressed, but the tower rises up flush with it. The south end extends the furthest to the east, and has a column of projecting balconies beginning at the 20th floor. There are two set-back corners at the north. The first one has a column of balconies nestled against it beginning at the 6th floor and ending at the 35th. The far northern wing is shorter, ending at the 35th floor.

The south facade continues the curtain wall and has a single column of projecting balconies, slightly offset to the east, beginning at the 20th floor. The north facade is simply a blank concrete wall, with one bay of small windows at the western edge. The top of the tower is distinguished by its curved and open roof structure over its water tank, whose curve arcs slightly to the north.

There is a small ground-level plaza at the northeast corner of the lot, and a ramp to the underground parking garage located on 33rd Street. The building contains 250 condominium units. The ground floor is occupied by Bonchon Chicken, and Hanmi Bank.
