Built in 1900 to a design by Thomson & Sandilands, it originally housed the Glasgow Parish Offices. It eventually became part of Glasgow Corporation and used as both offices and a meeting hall.
In the late 1980s, it was awarded Grade A listed status, and was painstakingly restored by Glasgow City Council.
The building received another restoration in 2021-23 as part of the wider Love Loan development, and now it forms part of the new AC Hotel next door.
