    Can anyone please point out the following places: Eastern Wall/Gate, Phokian Wall, Western Wall/Gate, Leonidas's Last stand (where the ancient inscription "Go, Stranger passing by, that here, obedient to their laws we lie") or "death mound", The modern statue of Leonidas, The visitor's center. Thanks!

    Note the bottom of the highlighted area, and you can see the where the cliffs end -- the developed areas are the rectilinear and mostly lighter areas at the base of the cliffs. The narrow portion was historically even narrower before landfill. I believe the modern monument is very close the the center of the polygon (look for the L-shaped image).
