Estate residence designed c. 1928 in the Tudor style by Noel & Miller for William Armstrong Greer {capitalist, financier}. Greer was the son of the Episcopal Bishop of New York, and was the founder of Duval, Greer & Co. and Greer, Crane & Webb brokerage firms. He also served as assistant treasurer of the New York Central & Hudson Railroad. One time weekend cottage, Greer had Noel & Miller redesign home into full-time residence. Timbers from the original garage were used in the living room.
